recruitment

we’re looking for trustees

**Now closed**

Following our successful launch earlier this year, we’re now looking to expand our board. Do you have a passion for supporting children and young people? If so, this might just be the role for you. Full details below.

About quadstar foundation

Every child deserves to flourish. That’s the heart of the quadstar foundation, a charity supporting children and young people to thrive.

We support children and young people facing challenges in their lives to overcome barriers and take part in fun activities that increase resilience, confidence and aspirations and improve well-being.

We provide a helping hand to children and young people by giving them an opportunity to participate in activities such as art, sports and outdoor activities that they otherwise would not be able to take part in. We also collaborate with inspiring people, providing the support needed to bring their ideas to life and reach even more children and young people.

We are a young charity, full of energy and ideas, and now hoping to welcome someone else with similar enthusiasm to join our journey to help children. We believe we can offer unique and well needed support for young children in the fast changing and challenging environment they face.

About the role

quadstar launched in June 2017 and we are now looking to expand our board of trustees and bring together a greater range of skills. We are currently looking to appoint trustees (unpaid voluntary role) who bring some of the following skills and experience:

  • Marketing, communications or fundraising
  • Knowledge and/or lived experience of some of the challenges faced by children and young people in the UK
  • Ability and willingness to draw on a wide personal network to promote the work of the foundation and increase awareness and support
  • Experience of acting as a charity trustee is not essential as a full induction will be provided.

Above all, we are looking for trustees who share the same drive, passion and enthusiasm for the aims of the foundation as our current trustees.

Further information

The role is not accompanied by any financial remuneration, although expenses for reasonable travel may be claimed.

Board meetings are held four times per year, however it is anticipated that trustees will be willing and able to contribute to the foundation on a more frequent basis, attending working group meetings monthly at our base in Hartley Wintney, Hampshire.
