Quadstar UWS Schools Update

We are delighted to share this latest update from across the UWS schools you support.

I hope you’ll find inspiration in the impact we’re creating together. As the Country Director of UWS Nepal, guiding a team fueled by passion and commitment to further this purpose has been a privilege. In Nepal, we’ve achieved significant milestones: established 72 schools, over which 13 now sit within local ownership, transforming the lives of over 14,000 children to date.

This progress is a result of the support from every donor, every UWS team member, the Government of Nepal, and the resilient communities we serve. Our ongoing efforts to provide inclusive, high-quality education reflect both success and challenges. While access to education has widened, the pursuit of quality education remains a distant goal for many. In the midst of remote villages, economic hardships, and gender biases, children persist with a thirst for knowledge. It’s in their resilience that we discover our purpose.

Within this update, you’ll learn about the start of the new academic year in Cambodia, festival celebrations in Nepal, and you’ll hear Riya’s inspiring journey of courage and determination. Riya’s story is not just one, but an echo of thousands of children supported by you—they are the heartbeat of our mission.

Thank you Nick and Michelle, for your invaluable support in continuing our efforts to reach and impact the lives of thousands of children in underserved communities globally. Surya Karki Country Director, UWS Nepal
