Trustees
Nick Butcher, Chair
Nick is our Founder and Chair. A former successful vet his true passion now lies in philanthropy and using his success to create opportunities to support talented students who demonstrate significant ambition and resilience in spite of their challenging home environments. He offers such students not only the financial backing for fantastic opportunities, but also endless encouragement and mentoring to make the most of their education and progress beyond.
Wendy Bayliss, Treasurer
Wendy is a former banker, ACIB qualified and on the Board of numerous local charities. As our Treasurer Wendy keeps her experienced eye on our finances and policies.
Suzanne Smith, Trustee
Suzanne brings her wealth of business experience to our Board. We couldn’t be without her valued insight and excellent attention to detail, which are applied to all aspects of the foundation’s work.
Michelle Butcher, Trustee
Michelle is an experienced lawyer who volunteers with a local hostel and women’s mental health service. She especially enjoys the opportunity to support, alongside Nick, our students’ pastoral care as well as their university and career applications.

Peter Cox, Adviser
Peter is Managing Director and Founder of Blue Fig Interiors Ltd, an interior design and fit out company specialising in workplace environments. His spare time is usually spent with his family, encouraging his two children to flourish through rugby, swimming and amateur dramatics.
